ALASTAIR Clarkson should not be penalised for what happened in the City of Churches on Saturday night.

There’s certainly something unsettling when a person invades your space, is drunk, and clearly is trying to provoke.

If you haven’t been in that situation, on the end of it, then please don’t say how you would then react.

Clarkson did not punch him. He pushed him.

That it was able to occur is beyond belief.

Don’t know if there would be a coach in elite professional sport in the US or England who would be put in a position where drunken fans can get to him in the post-match.

Now, this one moron will get his 15 minutes of fame.

Security will be employed at AFL matches to look after coaches from hotel to hotel interstate, and that includes interstate teams visiting Melbourne.

If the moron had any decency, he would apologise to the Hawthorn Football Club and to Clarkson.
