Don't miss out on the headlines from AFLW. Followed categories will be added to My News.
Key forward Phoebe McWilliams will make her Geelong debut as the Cats seek to build on their winning entry into AFLW against premier Western Bulldogs.
McWilliams was a late withdrawal before last week’s one-point win over Collingwood but has recovered from a hamstring strain and is set to line-up at Whitten Oval on Saturday night.
The Cats have also named 194cm former netballer Erin Hoare.
ERRANT: GOALKICKING WOES BEHIND CROWS
BULLDOGS: BRIGHT SPARK WITH AN EYE FOR TALENT
VIC PARK: PIES RETURN TO TRADITIONAL HOME
The one-time Melbourne Vixen played four games for Melbourne last year before moving to the Cattery. Skipper Melissa Hickey misses again through injury.
The Bulldogs will debut 22-year-old Irish recruit Aisling McCarthy.
“I can’t wait to see the X-factor she brings to a game of footy,” Bulldogs coach Paul Groves said of the small forward who hails from county Tipperary.
“She’s super excited; she was really disappointed last week (to miss out). Ever since she’s been over here, her training standards, everything, is just amazing.
“There’s no pressure on her, (the message will be) just to get out there and enjoy her footy.”
Collingwood ruck Eliza Hynes will play her first game of the season as the Magpies take on the Demons at Victoria Park.
Forward Sophie Alexander will miss the game. She was concussed by an inadvertent blow from teammate Sharni Layton against the Cats.
Adelaide have named Danielle Ponter, a cousin of Cyril Rioli, on an extended bench for Sunday’s clash with Carlton at Ikon Park.
Early flag favourite North Melbourne omitted former Hockeyroo Georgia Nanscawen and will debut teenager Elisha King against GWS on Friday night.
The Giants fell just short of the Lions last week but have been bolstered by the inclusion of forward Jacinda Barclay and defender Ellie Brush.
