A subsequent Covid-19 test confirmed that they had contracted the virus.
Those who attended the Tigers’ AFLW training on Thursday have been forced into isolation.
All members of the Richmond AFLW bubble have returned negative Covid-19 test results and the club is continuing to consult with the AFL and the Victorian Department of Health.
The Tigers’ men’s players are continuing to use separate facilities at the club and none are understood to have come in contact with the player who contracted Covid-19.

The Adelaide Crows have not yet corroborated reports that AFLW premiership player Deni Varnhagen is unwilling to become vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Advertiser reported on Monday that Varnhagen, who is also a frontline healthcare worker, is the only member of the Crows’ AFLW side not to have rolled up her sleeves ahead of the upcoming season.
The South Australian Government has yet to introduce an authorised workers mandate that would compel players to become vaccinated.
“Our club strongly encourages people to be vaccinated against Covid-19,” an Adelaide Crows club statement read.
“The club remains committed to following the health advice and guidelines set by government and the AFL.”
