The Hawks have been arguably the biggest story in footy for weeks now, surging up predicted ladders and right into the thick of the finals race this season.

However, to make the eight it seems they will have to at least beat one of GWS and Carlton in the next two weeks,

The experts say, this won’t be their week.

With the Giants also in great form, Sunday’s clash looms as the quintessential “eight-point game” in Canberra, set to be played in front of a sold-out crowd.

There are still four other games to be played between the cluster of sides battling for a place in September, as round 21 kicks off with the Bulldogs hosting the Dees, the Pies facing Carlton in Scott Pendlebury’s 400th, the red-hot Power hosting the Swans and Essendon looking to stop their skid against Freo.

It’s shaping up to be an incredible weekend of footy.
