Henderson has been a winner in her career. She hails from the successful Ipswich SHS program and brings match smarts and versatility to the squad. Henderson is affiliated with the Gold Coast Titans.
From the Townsville Blackhawks, second rower Maxwell has made the move to the big smoke.
She had a strong season with the Blackhawks last season and was not miles off making the www.couriermail.com.au U17 Team of the Season squad last year.

Local junior Bush, Wynnum Manly’s outstanding player last season, gained valuable experience in the second half of last season playing senior women’s league for Beenleigh.
During 2024 she was never far from Harvey Norman Team of the Week selection, so consistent was this tough, high work rate forward who takes No.13 play to the brink.
Any side would welcome this Queensland U19 Emerging State of Origin squad member, who played for the Australian Universities last season.
Tenacity best sums up Douglas who only knows 100 percent effort on the field. A front rower, Douglas will lead from the front with her tough middle forward surges and repeat effort plays.
Wildcard talent
Charlotte Wells
Outside back Charlotte Wells twice made Team of the Week squads last season. With a platform in the forwards, watch for halve Tameka Barnes to try and release her running game.
Tameka Barnes
Barnes was a revelation last season. A halfback in the 17s where she played every game, Barnes backed up to play dummy half in the U19s.
The squad: KC Campbell, Sienna Stanford, Perynese Ah-Wong, Ellie Cullen, Zarah Nygaard, Hayley Bush, Taleigha Kingston-Francis, Ariana Hendenson, Nikita Ballinger, Matelia Fuller, Chaise Windle, Maddison Schipplock, Chloe Maxwell, Taya Bowie, Eviarna Wapau, Tameka Barnes, Lili Douglas, Charlotte Wells, Natalea Elias, Robyn Paterson, Summer Wiston, Katrina Hopkins, Ashley Myers, Riley Wingad, Zanna Roach.
