PLAYERS TO WATCH
LANGER CUP
Keebra Park SHS
Troy Peni: A real speed merchant for Keebra Park SHS who is relishing the attacking formations of his inform team.
Jahream Bula: Long striding outside back who could be anything. Bula is a real matchwinner.
Klese Haas: Haas was arguably the form edge forward of the competition and continued on that form wearing the No.4 jersey in last Wednesday’s semi-final win over Wavell SHS.
Tuvalli Khan-Peveira: Lovely fullback with subtle ball-playing skills that adds an extra dimension to the Keebra Park SHS attacking armoury.
Palm Beach Currumbin
Ryan Rivett: Rivett is an even-tempered five-eight with all the tricks. He has a short and long kicking game, runs himself or passes long and short.
Tom Weaver: Rivett’s halves partner, Weaver has more variety than you can poke a stick at. Put him behind a talent pack and next Rivett and the alarm bells are sure to ring.
Xavier Willison: Tall front row talent who, unlike many of his peers, does not dominate through his power game, but rather through his genuine skills. His mobility allows him to cover the inside runner around the ruck while his pace and ball skills make him a handful in attack.
Oscar Bryant: A wonderful impact player off the bench for PBC who keeps the show rockin’ in the vital period leading up to halftime.
Jaylan De Groot: Exciting fullback talent who effortlessly complements the balance of the PBC team.
WALTERS CUP
Marsden SHS v Palm Beach Currumbin
Marsden SHS
Luke Bossoms: An exciting fullback prospect who lit up Langlands Park in last year’s semi-final.
Solomon Anu: Classy centre who will pose a threat to the PBC defence in Wednesday’s decider.
William Semu: The Gold Coast Titans obviously have good faith, with Semu a real impact player for Marsden SHS off the bench.
Taelon Te Whiu-Hopa: Another Gold Coast Titans contracted player, Whiu-Hopa gave the Marsden SHS forwards great impact off the bench.
Palm Beach Currumbin SHS
Bailey McConnell: McConnell was in eye-catching form for PBC in last week’s semi-final winning performance.
Tanu Nona: Nona produced the complete dummy half performance for PBC and Marsden SHS will be on red alert when he trails the ruck around on Wednesday.
Jett Forbes: The aptly named Jett Forbes has speed to burn and while defences concern themselves with the PBC centres and edge forwards, Forbes sniffs around, ready to take advantage of any defensive lapses.

We asked the coaches from the four schools who missed the grand final to nominate who they think will win the decider.
Jimmy Francis (Wavell SHS)
I think the grand final shapes up to be a high quality game with both teams playing their best footy at the right end of the competition. I think Keebra Park will win the Langer Cup – They have some real strike players on their edges and their halves created a lot of opportunities against us. The key will be to hold PBC’s middle and to limit the time Ryan Rivett and Tom Weaver have with the ball
Joshua Bretherton (Ipswich SHS)
Two very strong teams expect it to be an excellent game. If I had to pick one I would go with Palm Beach, they have a pair of very good halves that really take over the game when it is in the balance.
Jesse Maclean (Marsden SHS)
I am predicting Palm Beach Currumbin. They seem to be building and in the last match of the home and away season they asked questions of us in a variety of ways.
Matt Jahnke (St Mary’s College).
