Shooter Dane Sampson placed 31st in his second event at the Rio Olympic Games overnight — the 50m rifle prone — with a score of 620.6.
Sampson has one more chance to get on the podium in Rio with the 50m rifle three-position on Sunday, August 14 at 10pm.
ASHLEY Stoddart’s hopes of racing for an Olympic laser radial medal rest on the last two preliminary round races early tomorrow morning.
Stoddart, from Murrumba Downs, finished 23rd and 11th in today’s races, which were delayed more than two hours as organisers waited for conditions to improve.
After eight races Stoddart is now 13th in the class needing to finish in the top 10 to race for the medals in the early hours of Tuesday morning (AEST).
