Ahead of Saturday’s annual cross country championship, we preview the QGSSSA best runners while casting an eye over QG’s sporting achievers of 2021 - so far.

The Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sports Association has been the launching pad of many Olympians and Australian sporting stars.

From swimming greats to gymnasts, rowers and athletes, the QGSSSA is a wonderful nursery of Queensland sporting talent.

These include:

+ Angelina Tignani (St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School) won her fourth consecutive national javelin title, under 18.
