Gold Coast’s Lachlan Crump and Sandgate-Redcliffe’s Daniel Fielding both scored centuries as the Queensland Premier Cricket shrugged clear of rain on Saturday - only to face the aftermath of more rain on Sunday.

CLUB CRICKET PLAYERS OF THE SEASON - SO FAR
After Crump had blazed 131 not out from 136 balls during the Dolphins’ first innings, Fielding dropped anchor to ensure there was no repeat of his team’s first innings batting collapse to graft 105 not out (252 balls).
It was not long ago Crump, playing for The Southport School, and Fielding, playing for Nudgee College, were intense GPS First XI rivals, and now the boys were up and running with a flourish in Bulls Masters first grade.

MARNUS MAKES BSHS GREATEST, BUT WHO ELSE IS IN THE SIDE?
Aside from Crump and Fielding, other magic players from the last round were:
Donal Whyte (University)
You just can’t keep Donal Whyte down, can you?
The long-limbed Whyte Donal Whyte devastated Ipswich with a haul of 5-24 from nine overs on Saturday. It was an outstanding performance.
Whtye then sat back and admired a sensational burst of batting by Alecz Day (88, 60 balls) who made up for lost time in the most dramatic fashion.
Josh Neill (Valley)
Neill made the most of good seeing conditions on Saturday to bat himself to within five runs of a century.
Neill, a Marist College Ashgrove old boy who knows Easton Oval like the back of his hand, played the patience game to make 95 from 211 deliveries.
Patrick Cotter then had a dash down the order to make 61, but it was Neill who took the plaudits.
Chad Soper (Sunshine Coast)
Sunshine Coast’s very own Super Soper, Chad Soper, claimed yet another five wicket haul as the bowlers had Christmas all over again in the clash between the Scorchers and Wynnum Manly at Albury Oval.
Soper claimed 5-50 as the Sea Eagles collapsed for 128, only to see Wynnum pair Liam Guthrie and Harmon Sandhu (three wickets each) challenge hard before the Sunshine Coast claimed first innings points.
Opposing Soper, Wynnum’s Jehan Daniel deserves the highest of praise for his thrilling rally from the back of the field when he scored 62 (56 balls) in the blink of an eye.
Zanden Jeh (South Brisbane) and Pranav Susarla (Western Suburbs)
His team could not dislodge Pranav Susarla (61, 65 balls) and Tom Campbell (50, 126 balls) in enough time to prevent Western Suburbs getting a big lead, but Jeh was outstanding in snaring 5-57 on Saturday.

QLD U19 MALE PLAYER REPORT CARD
The left arm spinner worked extremely hard for his wickets, bowling 25 overs against a quality side - and then top scored in his team’s second innings with 48 (51 balls).
His work included two caught and bowled efforts.
But it was Susarla who hustled Wests to an outright win yesterday when he thrashed 47 from 28 balls, complementing his first innings 61.
Wests had been put into a winning position by Angus Tolhurst’s left arm spin which yielded 4-25 and eroded the South Brisbane innings for 131.
Daniel Cranitch (Toombul)
Tobias Snell and run machine Amritpal Grewal both scored 53 for the Bulls against Redlands in an historic night match at Toombul, but it was Cranitch whose 62 (76 balls) which elevated the innings just as the Tigers’ bowlers were engineering a major batting collapse.
Crantich got into the groove to dish out five fours and three sixes and his contribution was needed after Bailey Stewart (4-46) and rookies Thomas Biggs (2-61), Lachlan McClure (1-49), Jack Sinfield (1-68) and James Pullar (2-39) had combined to push past Toombul pair Snell and Grewal and get stuck into the meat of the Bulls’ batting.
Toombul ended up with first innings points.
ALLAN PETTIGREW PLAYERS OF THE DAY
Jackson Pavey (Sandgate-Redcliffe) was on fire against the Dolphins, with his lower middle order run splurge resulting in 101 from 151.
This was despite Tyler Smith’s (Gold Coast) rousing 5-62.
Joshua Wigginton, the Uni second grade captain, caught fire with a remarkable 135 from just 110 balls.
On the other side of the fence, Ipswich captain Rowan Lutter tried to rally his side with a haul of 4-67.
It was a round for captain’s knocks, with Toombul skipper Jordan Cabot (58 not out, 151 balls) prevailing against Redlands’ Seth McGinty (4-41) to hold his team’s innings together,
Valley batsmen could not escape the clutches of Norths bowler Zane Newton (5-21), and then Norths dynamic duo Patrick Farrell (101, 128 balls) and Kendel Fleming (124, 135 balls) cut loose.
Wynnum second grade batsmen Jordan Kingdon (51, 130 balls) and Bradley Radford (58) stood out like lighthouses at midnight against the Sunshine Coast bowlers led by Scorchers’ captain Samuel Gardiner and Oliver Bembrick who claimed three each.
South Brisbane’s Sam Ward (5-26) enjoyed conditions as his team dismantled neighbours Wests.
