Schoolgirl and schoolboy rugby league livestreaming was back with a bang today as the Titans Schools League took off.
The Courier-Mailand Gold Coast Bulletin livestreamed six games across two venues and now the action has drawn to a close, the replays can be watched below.

Two superb solo tries by respective halfbacks Kaelyn Passi (Marsden SHS) and Stevie Blackett (Keebra Park SHS) and an amazing covering tackle by Keebra SHS’s Taliah Anderson highlighted the opening match of the Titans Schools League competition.
Marsden won the season opener 24-4 in the Year 7-8 clash played under brilliant blue skies.
Marsden led 12-4 at halftime and kicked clear midway through the second half with back-to-back tries.
Keebra Park SHS may have lost, but Anderson provided the highlight of the day when she somehow chased down exciting Marsden SHS fullback Janique Mili.
Mili was off and running on her way to a 100m try when Anderson swooped as the tryline approached to bring off the tackle of the game.
Marsden had the better of the possession battle for the first three quarters of the clash, and as such drove out to a 12-nil lead at halftime.
With front rower Dhanievah Lepau gaining momentum for her team with big runs, halfback Passi played off the back of her and ignited the backline.
Passi scored a long, solo try herself, while both Marsden SHS centres Namoe Gesa and Rosa Lefono also crossed.
Passi also came across to produce a classic covering sideline on tackle which continued Marsden’s territorial domination.
But when possession swung Keebra’s way, the side worked its way back into the clash and Blackett’s stunning kick and chase try would have given her side great heart approaching halftime.
Arguably the most dangerous player on the field was Marsden SHS fullback Mili.
The second half started with a magnificent cover defending tackle by Keerba fullback Jyahti Kingi on a runaway Marsden SHS player Aaliyah Aistrope.
After being put up the sideline by Lefono. Aistrope looked certain to score, but Kingi kept pace and time her tackle to save a try.
REPLAY: YEAR 9-10 MARSDEN SHS v KEEBRA PARK SHS (GIRLS)
Keebra Park SHS claimed a thriller, 10-4, in the Year 9-10 encounter.
The match featured outstanding defence, with both teams refusing to yield in a high standard affair.
Handling was also top notch in a match which could have gone either way.
In the end tries by Keebra Park forwards Easther Mikaele and Dapri Huiarangi edged their side ahead.
The match finished with Marsden SHS pounding the Keebra line.
Marsden SHS fullback Mercedes Taulelei-Siala looked certain to score in the left hand corner, only to be denied.
Then, with full time approaching, Marsden five-eightIndia Seeto took on her opposite from a scrum move but was unable to beat her on the outside.
It was tough, but played in great spirit.
Marsden opened the scoring when winger Achol Deng crashed over.
But aside from that four-pointer, it was an even match across the first half.
There was astute kicking to try and gain a territorial advantage, with both teams backing their defence.
The Keebra Park fullback pushed hard for a try, but Marsden centre Aliyah Misa clung to her in the left hand corner.
Then Keebra Park SHS hit the front courtesy of front rower Mikaele who refused to die on her run.
Mikaele kept her legs driving and was delighted to reach the tryline.
REPLAY: YEAR 11-12 MARSDEN v KEEBRA PARK (GIRLS)
Marsden’s crafty Oshanis Wuakatau starred as Keebra Park SHS centre Faith Tutauha scored three tries in a losing side during an open girls thriller this afternoon.
Marsden won 20-12 off the back of a dominate first half effort which featured an outstanding effort by the starting frontrow.
But a fast finishing Keebra Park SHS threatened to come over the top of their rivals.
With No.6 Skyla Adams probing throughout, Keebra Park were always a chance of challenging the Marsden defensive line.
Centre Tutauha was enormous on the right edge for Keebra, crossing three times while fullback Anne-Marie Raatu also threatened Marsden.
It was a match of two halves.
Marsden SHS dummy half Wuakatau crossed twice in the first half, showing vision to work the blindside on both occasions.
Her prop Raven Tihema-Mako also scored as Marsden SHS established a 14-nil advantage which did not do justice to the closeness of the match during the opening 25 minutes
Keebra Park SHS were good, very good, which highlights how good Marsden had to be.
Wuakatau was the difference in setting up the 20-nil lead, with her runs from the ruck powerful bursts which put Keebra Park on the back foot.
Indeed the entire Marsden front row of Tihema-Mako, Wuakatau and Mackenzie Barty proved a handful.
Barty, strong and mobile with great footwork, deservedly scored a second half try after going very close during an extraordinary first half burst which featured footwork and strength across a 30m burst to the line.
She was tackled just short of the line, but Wuakatau did the rest from the play the ball with his blindside dart.
Teams from across the Gold Coast through Ipswich SHS, Stretton College and Forest Lake SHS will take part.
“In 2021, there are 100 teams representing 25 schools in the competition which is nearly double the amount of teams from the last full length competition in 2019,’’ said Darren Robb, the Gold Coast Titans Game Development Manager.
“The Titans partnership with News Corp to livestream provides the competition with the opportunity to showcase local grassroots school rugby league on a national platform,’’ Robb said.
St Michael’s College coach Corbin Levick said the Titans Schools Cup was a competition for students of all sporting abilities to “have a crack’’. “It is a great competition and the implementation of the girls competition has been amazing.’’
Mabel Park SHS girls coach Tamati Elers said it was a great competition to “test ourselves against everyone else to see how we are travelling, and the more games we get, the more experience we get’’.
