WBBL players like Gold Coast’s Georgia Redmayne and Lilly Mills (Sandgate Redcliffe) made impacts with outstanding individual performances for their side.
Redmayne blasted 94 from just 46 balls in the Katherine Raymont Shield, while Mills’ wily off-spin claimed 4-11 for the Gators.

The girl power continued with Gold Coast’s Tara Wheeler’s free-flowing 73 not out (72 balls), Zoe Valencic’s 3-16 for Sandgate Redcliffe and Britney Staines 51 (48 balls) for the Sunshine Coast.
But there was plenty of wow factor from the men as well, with Valley’s Jack Death’s 89 from 23 balls a high water mark.
Simon Milenko also had a crack, with 83 (47 balls) for Redlands in the Kookaburra First Grade T20 Competition.
At the other end of the scale Greg Morton steady 93 not out for Redlands in sixth grade was a highlight.
There was also brisk scoring from Patrick Cotter (80 not out, 58 balls) for Toombul in Alan Pettigrew Shield action, and more second grade success for Valley’s Jacques Badenhorst. 4-8.
