It started with a record number of entries, and now the AFLQ StreetSmart Footy Schools Cup hits finals fever, with livestreaming of qualifying finals ramping up today, Thursday and next week.

In South East Queensland quarter final action today, Marymount College will meet Narangba Valley SHS in senior male competition, and then on Thursday senior female quarter final action will feature Kedron SHS against Marymount College.

News Corp will be there to livestream both those matches - and also next Tuesday’s south east Queensland semi-finals - all staged at Yeronga AFC.

St Andrew's Anglican College senior boys players Jacob Hughes, Jaxon Woodward and Jesh Morgan. They will be playing on Tuesday.

“We are very appreciative of each and every school that plays in this competition and it’s why we continued to provide this competition free of charge to participants,” said Damien Mitchelmore, AFL Participation and Programs Manager – Schools and Diversity (QLD)

“We have the simple goal of providing school kids with an opportunity to play some competitive footy.’’

Then next month livestreaming continues when all secondary division semi-finals will be held on October 6 ahead of grand final weekend on October 15, 16 and 17 when, at the Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex, the Primary male and female (October 15-16) and All Secondary Divisions (October 15-17) were staged.

StreetsSmart Footy Schools Cup started in March with a record of more than 600 entries and the cream is now rising to the top.
