Here’s our A to Z guide featuring more than 100 club cricket stars from across the men’s Premier Grades, the women’s Raymont Shield and Lord Taverners under 16 competitions.

The Sci-Fleet Motors Men’s Premier grade and Katherine Raymont Shield club cricket competitions were steaming toward the finals, with teams jockeying for places in the finals.
In this story we name a KFC Queensland Premier Team of the Week from the men and the women, but also present our A to Z guide highlighting the standouts from across all of the grades so far, including from the Lord Taverners under 16 which saw Western Suburbs claim a cherished junior premiership.
A: A is for Ava Salvestrin, the inform Norths second grade women’s player whose 17 wickets have come at just 10.12. A is also for Amreen Kahlon (Wynnum Manly, 22 wickets at 18.86) and for Ashleigh Sims (Wests, 19 at 16.74) who were starring, while A is also for Queensland under 17 representative Amitoj Sidhu (29 wickets at 20) and Uni’s Premier grade batting battleship Angus Lovell (895 runs at 52.65).
And A is for Sunshine Coast’s Alecz Day who has 716 grade runs at 44.75, and 19 wickets at 20.74 in a fine summer of toil. A is also for Redlands Jacob Apted (36 at 21.58) and Norths fourth grade bowler Andrew Campbell (25 at 13.4). A is also for Norths fifth grade bowler Clinton Andersen (27 at 13).

B: B is for Brayden Meegama (University) whose scorching Lord Taverners summer saw him take 31 wickets at 7.26 and for Benjamin Baker (18 at 12.94) who did a good job for the Sunshine Coast in the same competition.
And B has to be for Josh Brown (Norths) whose runs have come at a strike rate of 162, and for University’s Bryce Street (1005 at 62.81). Amazing. B is also for Ipswich’s reliable Bryn Llewellyn (631 at 48.54) and for Gold Coast teenage ace Hugo Burdon who continues to gather valuable grade experience (627 at 28.50 and 10 wickets). B is also for Russell Brooks who was enjoying himself in fifth grade (Sandgate-Redcliffe, 331 runs at 36.78).
C: C is for Charni Bloxsom (University) whose bowling in the Raymont Shield has snared 32 wickets at just 10, and also for Christina Coulson (Valley) who has taken 28 at 11.46, and to Wynnum’s Raymont bowler Clodagh Ryall (25 wickets at 14.). Well done to them. And C is also for Carter Simpson (Sandgate-Redcliffe) who has 32 wickets at 17.81 and 489 runs at 25.74, and for his Gators’ teammate Jack Cooper (676 runs).
And while on the Gators, C has to be for Chathura Kaluthanthri whose busy summer has 425 at 38.64, and 28 wickets at 33.68. Uni’s William Crook was also having a grand summer with the ball. And Charles Taylor (Norths) must be acknowledged for his 36 wickets at 15.14. C is also for Toombul pair Matt Jones (24 at 11.79) and Jake Coolwell (18 at 14.72) who shine in fourth grade.
D: D is for Dave Pranshu who had the joy of helping Wests to a cherished Lord Taverners premiership before Christmas, and who now has 23 wickets at an amazing average of 7.23 while also chipping in with 162 runs. And is of course for BBL hit Paddy Dooley (Wests) who is finally receiving more public recognition for his skills with Hobart Hurricanes. D is also for Hayden D’Addona (29 at just 12.45).
E is for Emma Jackson (University) who is striking at a remarkable 117 (436 runs at 22.95) in Raymont Shield cricket, and also for Eleanor Swanepoel (Valley, 17 at 13.12) and for the glove work of Valley second grade women’s keeper Eden Colen. Eshwin Kapoor (Toombul) has also been spinning a web of intrigue for the Bulls, culminating in his Queensland under 16 selection.
F is for Frost, Harry Frost who in Lord Taverners scored more than 500 runs and for Norths young gun Fergus McFadyen (25 wickets at 16 in Lord Tav), an unlucky omission from the Queensland 17s.
G is for the wondrous Georgie Boyce (Sunshine Coast) whose fabulous season in the Raymont Shield has amassed 592 runs at 45.54 and for young Dolphin Grif Williams, the Queensland under 17 strike weapon who has taken 24 wickets at just 12 in club cricket, while also massing a handy 320 runs. G is for Wynnum’s Ted Gossett (19 at 19 in Lord Tav, and 25 wickets overall) and for his club mate, Liam Guthrie who in Premier cricket has 22 wickets at 18.68). G is also for Sajan Gill (Northern Suburbs District Cricket Club) who has 19 lower grade wickets at 11.16 and for Graeson Turner (Toombul) who has scored 101 not out in fifth grade.
H is for the shining star, Steve Hogan (Sandgate-Redcliffe), who is a run machine. The northside schoolboy scored almost 500 Lord Tav runs, and has added around 1000 in other grade games. H is also for Mikayla Hinkley (Valley) who has both runs (633 at 39.56) and wickets (12 at 14.92) this season, and for Ipswich men’s Harry Wood who scored 201 (233) in the last round.
H is also for Henry Harris (Valley) whose 46 wickets have come at just 18.89 after rising through the under 16s. Souths Matthews Harvie also gets a mention for his 16 wickets at 11.75 playing in his age group (under 16s). H is also for Harmon Sandhu (South Brisbane) who has taken 45 wickets at 23.78.
I is for Ishani Singh (Wynnum Manly) who, in women’s second grade cricket, has taken 19 wickets at 11.89, and Wests Isaiah Snell who has garnished his batting with a top score of 156 not out this season.
J has to be for Jessica Daldry (University) who has a competition topping 23 wickets in women’s second grade at just 6.3. Wow. J is also for another Jeh, young Saxon from Valley, whose season has yielded 39 wickets at 18 and for Wests premiership winning (Lord Taverners) bowling Jack Matthews (17 wickets at 18). J is also for Souths Aryan Jain (756 runs) is having a bumper season. And J is of course for the refreshing Uni batting ace Jack Clayton who progressed into the state side and set as an example to his peers.
K is for the exceptional Kira Holmes (Valley, 670 runs at 33) who is having a boom season in the Raymont Shield. K is also for Kate Campbell (Norths) and Kaysey Amai (Souths) who have both snared 16 wickets this season in women’s second grade. Campbell is in our Team of the Week (see below). K is also for Wests Lord Tav premiership winner Martin Kye who has 25 wickets at just 12 this summer, and for Norths Kendall Fleming.
L is for Adrian Lascu whose blazing 117 from just 92 balls in Sandgate Redcliffe’s second grade side was one of the knocks of the season, and for Valley pace bowling young gun Sam Lewis who has 33 wickets in all cricket this season after taking 21 in the Lord Tav series. It is also for Joshua Lossberg who helped bowl Wests to the Lord Taverners premiership (15 wickets at 18). L is also for Redlands’ Liam Smith (566 runs at 33.29). L is also for Toombul fifth grader Matt Lynn (24 at 11.29). Lucky Prince (Souths, 44 at 12.93) was also having a summer of dreams down the grades.
M is for Molley Claire (Wests) whose season in women’s second grade has 226 runs at 37. M is also for allrounder Melissa Lewis (Souths) who has second more second grade runs (360 runs at 30.08) in women cricket than anyone else this season, while also snaring 20 wickets at just 9.15. M is also for swing bowling allrounder Noah McFadyen (Norths) who has 393 runs at 24.56 and 22 at 36.41. M is also for Wynnum’s Matt Crampton (28 at 16). Toombul’s Michael Robinson (25 wickets at 18.52) is also having a big season down the grades.
N is for Kane Neilsen, whose preparation for the start of the GPS First XI competition on Saturday was first class when he was a leading light for Sandgate-Redcliffe in the Lord Taverners. N is also for another rookie, N is also for Valley’s Joshua Neill (485 runs at 37.31) and for star allrounder Nikhil Chaudhary who has taken 35 wickets at 20.20 and scored 438 runs at 25.76.
O is for Ruby Orchard (Sunshine Coast) whose 27 wickets in the Raymont Shield have come at just 11,74, with a strike rate of 22.3, and for Gold Coast Lord Tav representative Oam Patel (17 wickets at 17) playing against his peers.
P is for Northern Suburbs batting young gun, Queensland under 17 representative Alexander Procopis who averaged 45 in Lord Tav cricket this season, as well as taking 15 wickets at just 15. What a player to have in your side. P is also for Lachlan Peterson (South Brisbane) whose fourth grade deeds include 352 runs at 50.29) and for Nicholas Purser (Wests) who has taken 32 wickets at just 7 in sixth grade.
Q
R is for Kori Ramsden (Ipswich) who was sensational in Lord Taverners action (19 wickets at 10) and who has snared another three wickets in grade while also being a capable batsman. R is also for Raveesh Srivastava (Norths) who has scored 725 runs at 48.33. James Rosewarne (South Brisbane) was also having a big summer, with 33 wickets at 24.36.
S is for the sensational effort of Sianna Ginger (29 at 8.72) for Valley in Raymont Shield at a strike rate, believe it or not, of 14.1. Now that’s a season. S is also for Redlands’ Bailey Slater (5-19) who snuck into our Team of the Week from fifth grade, and for his Redlands’ club mate Jack Sinfield (5-44, first grade). S is also for Queensland under 17 teammates Daniel Skipwith from the Lord Tav premiers Premiers Western Suburbs District Cricket Club, and Wynnum’s Jackson. Steinhardt.
And S is for Toombul’s rising rookie Aubrey Stockdale (40 wickets at 21.4, for Jackson Smith (Gold Coast District Cricket Club, 23 at 23.95) and for Uni’s reliable Nicholas Sale (29 at 22.9). S is also for a trio of Redlands players - Bailey Stewart (25 at 20.88), Jon Stimpson (24 at 17.75) and Jasper Sumner, and is also for Norths Samuel Neale (25 at 22.56). S is also for Tyler Smith (33 at 25.12).
T is for the amazing Tess Cooper (Sandgate-Redcliffe, 720 runs at 65.55) who is having a season for the ages in the Raymont Shield, and for Talon Reichert (Sunshine Coast) who, after starring in the Lord Tav under 16s, has gone on to take 44 wickets in all matches at 18.89. T is also for Thisaja Samarawickrama, the Qld 17s representative who has 26 wickets at 10 ahead of starting his GPS First XI campaign on Saturday.
Evergreen Sam Truloff (Wests) also deserves publicity for his 915 runs at 57.19 so far this season, as does thrilling Toombul fast bowling prospect Tom Balkin. And T is for Valley’s grade batsman Tom Collier (639 runs at 39.94). Well done to him.
U
V is for Naiya Varidel (Wests) who has been an outstanding allrounder in women’s cricket. She has taken an eye popping 39 wickets at just under 15 this season, including 25 in the top competition, and scored 315 runs at 17.50. V is also for Sam Vaughey (Western Suburbs District Cricket Club) who has scored a double century in sixth grade.
W is for Tara Wheeler whose batting deeds in the Raymont Shield have yielded 609 runs at 38.09, while also taking 23 wickets at 21. It is also for Sunshine Coast’s Mikayla Wrigley who has blazed 520 runs at a strike rate of almost 100 (97) and Valley’s youngster Luke Ward who had the unfortunate - or good fortune - of scoring a 99. It was surely better than a duck, despite the disappointment of him not raising three figures. W is also for Ipswich’s Harrison Wood (757 at 39.84). W is also for Valley’s teen ace Hugh Weibgen who in all matches has almost 1000 runs (average 46.14) while also taking 22 wickets.
Y is for Yadav Abhimanyu (Uni) who is having a good, solid season with 586 runs at almosty 27, while also chipping in with five wickets.
Z is for Valley’s Zanden Jeh whose spin has snared 32 wickets at 28.31, including his 100th first grade wicket. Indeed the general consensus is that it’s almost 100 per cent certain that he’s the youngest ever in QC history (possibly Australia) to reach 100 first-grade wickets after making his debut aged just 16. Now that is a milestone to hang your hat on. Z is also for Gold Coast Premier grade ace Caleb Ziebell who has 676 Premier grade runs under his belt at 42.25, along with 19 wickets at 22, and also for his club mate, the exciting TSS schoolboy Zac McDermott who has promise with bat and ball. Z is also for Wests’ Zack Camilleri (237 runs at 59.25) who was proving a handful in fifth grade.
