Revealed: Springfield’s cafe with the best brunch menu

With an extensive menu catering to everything from a keto diet to vegen and gluten free, it is no wonder this cute family business has been voted as Springfield’s best brunch location.

Love of food and family is what makes Springfields Screamin’ Beans Cafe an all-time favourite.

Owned by husband and wife team Adelene Scremin and Jeff Burbank, the couple took a chance on a new venture when they opened in March 2019.

“Both of us had worked in hospitality for 35 plus years,” Mrs Scremin said.

“I have an Italian background and I had cooked with my mum and nonnas since I was six. “My husband spent 15 years as a long-time chef and worked all over the world. We really felt it was time we did something for us.”

The business has family tradition and love all blended in together. They make everything from scratch right down to the granola with toasted oast, coconut, almonds, walnuts and pepitas.

It is no wonder the business was voted best brunch cafe by locals as they also offer an all day breakfast with acai bowls right down to favourites like breakfast burgers and smashed avocado.

The meals are cooked to order and the pair work seven days as week from 5am to 4pm.

“We love what we do and this is family business with our three children also helping out when hey can,” she said.

The eldest daughter is often seen working as a barrister, their son helps cook and the kitchen and the youngest daughter is always helping mum with the baking.

“Through Covid we did homeschooling in the cafe while offering a drive through and takeaway service,” Mrs Scremin said.

“It was hard but we got through it with help from the community, our staff and loyal customers.”

Screamin' Beans offers great food and great service and is the winner of Springfield's best brunch cafe.

When it comes to the best brunch on the menu Mrs Scremin said she could not decide and she said she could not really say which dish was the most popular either.

“We cater to the Keto diet, vegetarians and any other dietary requirements. We have so much on offer, we just love that everyone supports us. Thank you for the vote of confidence.”

The business is open from Monday to Friday from 6am to 3pm from 6am to 1pm on weekends.

The business has a mixture of modern Australian cuisine including chicken and meat dishes as well as fresh salads and gourmet sandwiches. They have children’s meals and vegetarian and gluten-free options.

The cafe is located at shop 4, 23 Commercial Drive, Springfield.
