Raynuha Sinnathamby is passionate about seeing more women rise to the top of the ranks in property management.
Having ascended through the male-dominated industry herself, the managing director of Springfield Land Corporation is backing two local women as they stamp their mark on Greater Springfield and set their sights on future leadership positions.
Ms Sinnathamby will mentor Layna Stephens and Julia Foster-Massie for the rest of the year through the Property Council of Australia program, 100 Women in Property.
Ms Stephens, a development manager at Brookwater Residential, said she was pleased to see the program support gender equality at an organisational level.
“This is a tangible way to increase opportunities for women in property and to encourage more diversity in the industry,” she said.
Ms Foster-Massie, a development manager in Springfield Land Corporation’s commercial property team and was responsible for the delivery of the organisation’s first medium-density residential portfolio.
“Raynuha is an excellent mentor already within the workplace and someone that encourages all members of the organisation to have the confidence to get out there and network,” Ms Foster-Massie said.
“I was really encouraged by the number of mentors and participants taking part in the initiative as it really reiterated the desire of the industry to support women in achieving senior leadership positions.”
The past two development managers employed by Springfield Land Corporation were women.
