SOUTH Brisbane is set for a sunny Friday hitting a top of 27 degrees, with a partly cloudy weekend and temperatures in the mid 20s.
Spring is getting warmer in south Brisbane, as shown in the chart above which tracks the long-term trend.
A typical spring day is around one degree warmer now than it was 30 years ago.
Similar warming trends are recorded inland at Amberley and Logan, and on the coast at Brisbane Airport and Cape Moreton.
Fast fact
It turns out Brisbane has the most 'nice' days of any major centre in Australia, with an average of 105 'nice' days per year.
In the meteorological study, a 'nice' day for citydwellers is warm (18 to 29 degrees) with low humidity, no rain, light winds, and at least some blue sky.
Alice Springs and Mildura followed Brisbane, each with 81 'nice' days per year, while Darwin had the least 'nice' days, with only three.

The Mt Gravatt Environment Group has been caring for the bush in Gertrude Petty Place for over 20 years.
Sheamus, who leads this bushcare group, has noticed the bushland responding to the drier weather.
"Our planting window is much smaller, [so] more care is required after tree plantings," he says.
"I have noticed a change in vegetation structures as well as how the vegetation responds after controlled burns.
"Also, more water is being put out for native fauna."
