A BRISBANE band who moved to the U.S.to pursue their dream of making it big just got a little bit closer after getting a shout out in music bible Rolling Stone.
Sisters Nina, Jesse and Andrea make up the country pop trio Dozzi who moved to the country music capital just over three years ago.

After the release of their latest song ‘Fools’, Rolling Stone included the track in the 10 best country songs to hear now.
“That was awesome,” Andrea said.
The sisters left family in Brisbane to concentrate on their goal of one day winning a Grammy for their music.
“That would be the ultimate, and that’s why we moved here. We need to be here to have that opportunity,” Andrea said.
“Nashville is full of people who love music so the response has been really good. There’s just something on every night where you can go to hear or play original music.”
The sisters rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in country music, and are hoping to be household names themselves one day.
“There’s not one way to do anything in this industry. You’ve just really got to get out there and get on the radar. It’s not a quick process but you’ve just got to work out which way’s going to work for you,” Andrea said.
“We’ve got industry people coming to our shows now which is really exciting.”
Andrea said the sisters have a sound that many don’t instantly recognise as being country, and they’ve stayed true to their Australian roots.

“A lot of people have said ‘I don’t like country but I really like your music’. I’d say that we’re country pop,” she said.
“We don’t have a twang - we’ve just got our little Aussie accents. We don’t really try to write or play music to fit into a category. We just try to make music that we like and means something to us.”
