A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Brisbane CBD.
Paramedics, including critical care units, transported two patients to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with stab injuries after an incident at a Mary St business in Brisbane city around 10.20am Sunday.
Police will allege a 42-year-old man became involve din a fight with a 48-year-old man at the property.
The 48-year-old was rushed to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with serious stab wounds to his abdomen, and multiple lacerations to the legs and arms.
The other man was taken to the same hospital with significant stab wounds to his forearm.
It is understood a member of the public called police, with the injured men remaining outside the Mantra Hotel until emergency services arrived.
Subsequent investigations led police to arrest and charge a 42-year-old Varsity Lakes man with attempted murder, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and grievous bodily harm.
He has been denied police bail and faced Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
