Teen girl rushed to hospital after Brisbane crash

An 18-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital after a crash in Brisbane’s south overnight.

Police are questioning a man after a serious traffic crash in Morningside on Saturday night left a young woman with significant injuries.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Bennetts Rd and Wynnum Rd about 8.10pm after reports of a collision between a Ford F350 truck and a Holden Barina.

The driver of the Barina, an 18-year-old woman, was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious-but-stable condition.

Her passenger, an 18-year-old man, was also taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police said the man believed to have been driving the Ford was in his 30s and is now assisting them.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw the crash, or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.
