2022 Bill Turner Cup National Finals Series: Meet players one through 16 from Churchie

Churchie make their first appearance at the Bill Turner School Football National Finals Series on Tuesday when they butt horns with Narrabeen Sports High. Meet Churchie’s footballers one through 16 here.

Bill Turner Cup Highlights

The Bill Turner School Football High School knock-out competitions, for boys and girls 15-years-and-under, are contested by schools from Cairns to Melbourne across the football federations of Queensland, Northern NSW, NSW, the ACT and Victoria.

The 2022 Bill Turner School Football National Finals Series will be hosted by Northern NSW Football at their state of the art facility on Tuesday and Wednesday and livestreamed by Kommunity TV.

This year marks Anglican Church Grammar School’s first appearance at the Bill Turner Cup Finals Series. So, what better way to cheer on the next crop of GPS First XI football talent than to meet the Churchie youngsters strapping on their boots this Tuesday.

Josh Tanner

Tanner is a great shot stopper, who pulls off some incredible reflex saves.

Jayden Draper

Draper is a composed footballer who has a great passing range.

Brisbane Roar centre back Lucas Herrington is an intelligent footballer who reads the game well and has a huge presence on and off the pitch.

Alex Rados, Director of Football at Churchie said: “Lucas Herrington has a great presence in the dressing room and is a natural leader.”

He has flawlessly led the team in the 2022 Bill Turner Cup with his organisational skills, passing ability and being a constant danger for opponents on set pieces.”

Oliver Reid

Reid poses great speed and strength, which he uses to get the team out of tough situations.

Hayden Smith

Smith has been great in one-on-one moments across the competition in the defensive line.

Luke O’Sullivan

First XI usual Luke O’Sullivan has shown his experience and leadership in guiding the team around the park and holding the midfield shape.

Hiro Sugimura

Sugimura’s work rate and drive has played a huge role in the team’s performances thus far.

He will continue to steer the ship with his unrivalled work ethic.

Quinn MacNicol

MacNicol has a great football brain as well as the ability to create and finish chances in key moments.

Daniel Ren

Ren works tirelessly and makes intelligent runs to support teammates and break the lines.

Arden Hogan

Hogan’s work rate and desire to win his individual battles has been a key part in the team’s performances.

Levi Collins

Collins has led the front line brilliantly. He puts a lot of pressure on his opponents and is a strong finisher.

Love is one of the younger players in the squad. He is very good both technically and tactically.

Gianluca Gasperini

Gasperini is every team’s dream player. An uncompromising defender who always puts in 100%.
