Carindale Library, one of the collection points for residents to drop off their creations, has been a sea of red in recent weeks — much of which was thanks to local resident Lenore “Greta” Tanner, who sewed 300 on her own.
Brisbane Lifestyle Committee chairwoman Councillor Krista Adams said it was wonderful to see support for a great cause.
“Since November 2014, local residents have sewn, stitched, knitted and crocheted poppies as a part of the project,” Cr Adams said.
