Shocking footage has emerged of brazen teens, one allegedly wielding a knife, attempting to break-in to a home in Brisbane’s south, with one boy being charged.
The video posted on local community groups shows three teens, including one with a knife, breaking into a home at Calamvale on February 6 just after 1pm.
The footage also shows one of the teens kicking the property’s door down and the boy holding a knife swearing at a nearby resident during the attempted break-in.
Investigations into the incident resulted in detectives from South Brisbane District charging a 16-year-old boy after a series of break and enter offences on Brisbane’s southside between February 5 and 7.
Police allege the boy, with two others, forced entry to several houses in Calamvale, Eight Mile Plains, Rochedale, Wishart and Marsden.
Police also allege one of the boys threatened a witness with a large knife.
With some of the incidents recorded on CCTV police found one of the boys at a shopping centre in Marsden.
It will be further alleged the boy was in possession of a large knife, some of the stolen property and a quantity of cannabis.
The 16-year-old Marsden boy has been charged with five counts of enter dwelling, two counts of stealing and one count each of threatening violence, possession of a dangerous drug and receiving tainted property.
Investigations are continuing.
