Queensland Workplace Health and Safety investigating incident in Salisbury

Authorities are investigating an incident at a Brisbane work site, where a man was seriously hurt after being trapped under a pile of pallets.

Authorities are investigating an incident at a Brisbane work site, where a man was seriously hurt after being trapped under a pile of pallets.

Paramedics, including critical care and high acuity units, were called out to an address on Evans Rd, Salisbury around 2pm following the incident, which involved a forklift.

Crews then treated a man on scene for serious leg and head injuries.

Paramedics later transported the man to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

An Office of Industrial Relations spokesman said investigations into the incident have started.

The spokesman also said an inspector was on-site yesterday afternoon.
