Pacific Motorway ute crash sees traffic come to standstill

Motorists are experiencing delays of up to 40 minutes for their drive home this afternoon following a ute rollover on a major highway south of Brisbane.

Four northbound lanes of traffic on the Pacific Motorway were blocked following a ute rollover in Gaven, just before the Helensvale South exit.

Road users were at a standstill as paramedics, firefighters, and police responded to reports a ute carrying a crane tipped on its side about 2.50pm on Tuesday.

An ambulance spokesman said paramedics were assessing one person who had no obvious injuries.

Motorists have been urged to avoid the area if possible, and to expect delays.
