OWNERS of the troubled former Salvin Park Nursing home property at Carina Heights will be issued a compliance notice from council this week after vandals attacked the site again.
All but one building at the property at 880 Creek Rd were demolished last year after years of pressure on the owners TriCare to maintain the site.
That last building now has bright graffiti across it after vandals defied extra security on the site.
Councillor Ian McKenzie (Coorparoo) said council would issue TriCare with a compliance notice this week to clean up the graffiti and maintain the grass to an acceptable height.
A spokesman for TriCare said the company was disappointed to hear of the vandalism and would remove the graffiti.
TriCare displays signs warning the site is under constant video and audio surveillance and that trespassers will be prosecuted.
The company intends to build 201 retirement units and a 163-bed residential care facility on the site over five stages.
The spokesman said there was no time frame for a start to construction at this stage and that the project was dependant on market conditions.
Initial redevelopment plans for the site were approved by council in December 2015.
