HOME owners still face uncertainty about the number of resumptions needed to upgrade Lytton Rd, Councillor Shayne Sutton (Morningside) says.
Last week, council revealed 45 properties would be resumed to expand Lytton Rd to six lanes.
Cr Sutton said residents were unaware the figure of 38 homes, quoted last year, had since increased and said they were tired of hearing the latest plans through the media.
“I have had a number of residents contact me asking for further details, but I haven’t been told any more about these changes or about the impact on homeowners,” she said.
Deputy Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the number of properties to be resumed — 38 full resumptions and seven partial resumptions — had not changed.
“Council will continue working with affected property owners throughout the process and we have kept them informed of the time frames and processes for these resumptions,” he said.
He said following community consultation, three vacant blocks changed from partial to full acquisitions at the owners request and one additional partial resumption was added.

East Brisbane resident Geraint Gregory said the community would like to hear more details from council.
“We can only go with what they are saying. I’m hopeful of finding out more information,” he said.
Solicitor Andrew Young from Slater and Gordon said residents should get their home independently valued before agreeing to a price with council.
“It’s advisable that property owners should get their own valuation and have a lawyer present,” he said.
LYTTON RD PLANS
— Property resumptions are scheduled to occur during the 2016-17 financial year
— Construction is due to start in early 2018 and be completed by 2020
— Council will survey more than 40,000 households to determine if residents want the additional two traffic lanes, that formed a key part of the upgrade, to be delivered as bus-only lanes or remain open to all vehicles
