A FIRE has broken out at the heritage-listed Broadway Hotel.

Firefighters were called to the derelict hotel at Logan Rd in Woolloongabba at around 6:43pm.

The small fire was believed to have been started on a mattress inside the hotel.

It was contained to that mattress and extinguished shortly after.

There was no structural damage done to the hotel and the cause of the fire is unknown.

No one was injured in the blaze and emergency crews left the scene just before 8pm.

The hotel has previously been the subject of several suspected arson attempts in 2017 and 2018.

The hotel was closed in 2010 after it was extensively damaged by fire, which began in a ground floor storeroom and quickly spread up the central stairs.
