Celebrity trainers debut Brisbane FitHer exhibition this weekend

Brisbane’s first FitHer Expo is set to inspire women of all ages this weekend with interactive events and expert insights from celebrity trainers.

A Queensland-first convention celebrating, educating and inspiring women’s health and fitness is coming to Brisbane this weekend, July 27/28.

FitHer is bringing the event to the River City, aimed at women of all ages who want to become the fittest and healthiest versions of themselves.

The weekend featured a lineup of influential trainers including internet sensation Chontel Duncan, who has more one million followers, The Ground Australia co-founder Cass Olholm and former Biggest Loser trainers Tiff Hall and Libby Babet.

The two-day event included interactive sessions, product demonstrations, live workouts, cooking classes and exhibitors.

CEO and founder Emma Price said she was thrilled to bring the FitHer expo to Brisbane for the first time.

“Showcased are some of the biggest names and brands in the women’s health and fitness space (that will) provide a really empowering weekend for Queensland women,” Ms Price said.

FitHer’s first exhibition took place in Sydney in October last year.

Kate Martin, a personal trainer at Sweat, author and fitness influencer said the weekend was aimed at women from beginners to experienced fans hoping to learn more.

“In Brisbane I will be doing some pilates and HIIT classes as well as sitting on a panel to talk about all things running,’’ Ms Martin said.

“The event is about getting out of the stigma that gym exhibitions are all about men and instead educating and encouraging women to take a holistic approach to their health, fitness, diet and lifestyle.

“The main objective is to bring together a bunch of amazing brands and highlight the progression of the fitness industry for women.

“Guests have the chance to work with some of the best coaches and trainers in the industry that they might not have had another chance to train with.’’

FitHer will be held at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre from 9am - 4pm on Saturday, July 27 and from 10am-4pm on Sunday, July 28.

Tickets are $20 for a one-day general admission or $30 for a weekend pass and are available on the FitHer website.
