“She is lovely and fully deserved it.”

“There is so much negativity out there in the world — which is why it’s so good to see someone out there being nice to perfect strangers.”

Charmain told Mr Scott she often received little thank you notes saying “there should be more people like you” but she had never received flowers and chocolates before.

“This is amazing,” she said in the video.

“I’ve got a lot of spare time while I’m standing there and everybody’s driving through and nobody likes road works.

“Everybody hates road works, so I can be a little bright spark as they go through and say thank you to everybody for their patience and kindness.

“ … It’s amazing when people smile and wave back at me.

“It is fantastic. You should see their faces light up

“I do it for a minimum of 10 hours a day.

“Every single person gets an individual wave and smile and I look each person in the eye, so they know I see them.”
