Toddler resuscitated by paramedics after near drowning

UPDATE:
A SPOKESPERSON from the Queensland Children’s Hospital confirmed today the toddler involved in a near-drowning incident last week remained in hospital but was now in a stable condition.
Paramedics were called to a home in Cleveland where a male toddler had to be resuscitated after falling into a pool on June 4.
The toddler had been taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.

A TODDLER remains in a critical condition at Queensland Children’s Hospital following a near-drowning at a Cleveland home on Tuesday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said paramedics arrived at the home at 4:46pm.
“A male toddler was pulled unconscious and was resuscitated by paramedics on the scene,” the spokesperson said.
“The patient was then transported under lights and sirens with a police escort to Queensland Childrens Hospital.”
A Queensland Children’s Hospital spokesperson said the toddler “remains critical”.
