The Good Place Cleveland to open at former The Coffee Club

When a favourite Coffee Club shut its doors after two decades a bayside idyll hoped for quick replacement, yet it has taken a near year for an exciting newcomer to come along.

A prominent southeast Queensland business location where a bustling Coffee Club once traded for 23 years, has finally attracted a replacement business after standing still for 10 months.

Felled by a combination of pandemic pressure and a lease disagreement, The Coffee Club Cleveland at Cleveland Central Shopping Centre closed its doors for the last time on June 7.

Enjoying a commanding corner location at 91 Middle St the shop is adjacent to an entrance to the centre and benefits from foot traffic flowing from a pedestrian crossing.

In its heyday packed tables buzzed with customers’ conversation.

And yet tables and chairs have remained unused and stacked in the same position for nearly a year at the shuttered shop.

It comes as Cleveland still struggles to maintain businesses with lease signs glaring after months of inaction throughout the hub.

But it is due to change when an exciting newcomer opens its doors.

A statement by The Good Place Cleveland promises an imminent opening and an introduction to “a holistic health offering, ticking all of the boxes in sustainability, low sugar, grain free and 100 per cent gluten free, with vegan options”.

Part of a chain The Good Place specialises in “sustainable and ethically raised or treated” product aimed at a wholistic health offering.

A quick scroll of their website induces a mouth-watering response.
