Teen hospitalised after unlucky injury at Amity Point Beach, North Stradbroke

A rescue helicopter has taken a teenage boy to hospital injured after being dumped by a wave at a beach on North Stradbroke Island.

A rescue helicopter has taken a teenage boy to hospital after an incident on a beach on North Stradbroke Island.

Paramedics, including the helicopter, were on scene treating a male in his early teens.

His abdomen was punctured by a stick after being dumped by a wave off Ballow St at Amity at 10am.

The boy was believed to be in a stable condition.

The rescue helicopter took him to the Queensland Children’s Hospital.
