A STOLEN car has been pulled from the water at Wellington Point boat ramp after a boatie discovered the submerged vehicle when he “drove over it”.
Police divers were called to Wellington Point at 10.30am this morning after a resident who had launched his boat from the ramp had reportedly driven over the top of it.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed nobody was in the car when it was found fully submerged about 30m from the ramp.
Logan resident Robyn Shorter, 49, had travelled to Wellington Point to enjoy some fish and chips but got waylaid by the action.
“There were about five police officers standing there … and you could see the roof of the car,” she said.
Ms Shorter said she watched as divers went beneath the water’s surface to check that nobody was in the vehicle.
“I walked away when they were about to tow it because if there was someone in there, I couldn’t have handled seeing it,” she said.
Ms Shorter described the car that was pulled from the water as “small and silver”.
Police could not confirm the make or model of the car but said it had been an “unlawfully used motor vehicle”.
The ramp was reportedly closed to boats while the car was retrieved from the water.
