Serial pest trail bike rider charged by police

An alleged serial pest trail bike rider has finally been arrested after locals went out of their way to help police find him over a number of months.

CAPALABA Police have thanked locals who banded together to catch a persistent trail bike hoon.

The hoon had reportedly been riding dangerously on roads, parks and nature trails in the Capalaba and Alexandra Hills areas over the last few months.

Police said the continued co-operation from the public led to a 17-year-old Capalaba boy being identified and charged with numerous offences including unlicensed driving, driving a vehicle in an unsafe condition and failing to wear a helmet.

The boy will be dealt with according to the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
