Shayher Group, the company behind the stunning pool at W Hotel inside the trendy Brisbane
Quarter precinct on George St, will lead the revitalisation of the Capalaba town centre.
Redland City Council today announced Shayher Group as the preferred expression of interest (EOI) proponent for the key project.
The work will happen in close consultation with Redlands Investment Corporation, in order to deliver a vibrant Town Centre acting as the heart of Capalaba.
Shayher Group has gained extensive national experience delivering similar mixed-use developments.

Along with W Hotel, examples of their work include The Hamilton at Northshore Hamilton.
The development which will incorporate a new library and community centre will take its lead from the Capalaba Centre Master Plan, adopted by the council in 2010.
The master plan identified key areas of need at Capalaba including an active town square, a need to improve pedestrian movement, and repositioning Capalaba and activating it as a primary employment, transit and mixed-use development centre with an after-hours economy.
Once the draft Capalaba Town Centre master plan has been finalised, community engagement will be conducted, calling on community members, business and stakeholder groups to view the proposals and provide feedback.
The next step of the process will be for a detailed design to be developed that matches the council’s planning scheme and for commercial agreements to be negotiated.
