Parent incident caused Brisbane Bayside State College lockdown
A parent has been charged after a bayside high school went into lockdown twice in one week and police had to be called out.

A Brisbane high school has been sent into lockdown twice in one week after the police were called to deal with a disgruntled parent, who has now been charged.
Brisbane Bayside State College locked down the school on June 3 and again on June 7.
It had to provide “guidance’’ to students and staff who witnessed the incidents.
A Queensland Education spokesman said the first incident occurred at the school’s athletic event.
“A parent became ‘heightened’ at the athletic event. The police were contact immediately and attended the school to escort the parent off the site,” he said.
Four days later, police were called to the school to respond to a parent who allegedly became “heightened” at the administration area.
The Education spokesman said police attended the school, which had to be locked down for 40 minutes.
A police spokesman said a Wynnum West woman, 41, was due to appear before Wynnum Magistrates Court on July 8.
“She has been charged with two counts of commit public nuisance, two counts trespass and one count of obstruct police.’’
College parents shared their concerns on social media.
“Twice in one week is a lot,” one parent posted.
Another said the school was in constant contact with her during the incidents.
“We received text messages with updates, it was sorted in the end,” another parent posted.
