A Redlands man has been charged with two offences of wilful exposure after he allegedly exposed himself in front of two women, one aged just 18, at Stradbroke Island.

Point Lookout man Nicholas James Goldberg, 31, supported in court by family, had his charges mentioned for the first time in Cleveland Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Police will allege Mr Goldberg’s first public display targeted a 52-year-old who was walking on the ‘Whale Track’ which is accessed via the intersection of Snapper and Bambara streets at Point Lookout sometime between June 20 – July 20 last year.

The second is alleged to have occurred at a different location in Point Lookout targeting an 18-year-old woman on November 15 last year.

He was charged on December 9 last year after police investigations into the matter.

Defence solicitor Elizabeth Davey told the court on Tuesday she received the police QP9 form, which contains the allegations against her client, on Monday afternoon and required three weeks to consider the material before taking instructions from Mr Goldberg.

Witness statements are yet to be taken, the court heard.

His charges were adjourned to February 8.
