MAFS star Ines Basic on drink driving charges

REALITY TV star Ines Basic will be back in court this month to face drink driving charges.
The Married At First Sight bride’s matter was heard in Cleveland Magistrates Court today after she was charged with drink driving on Christmas Day last year.

The 28-year-old was charged with being over the mid-range alcohol limit, contravening a police direction and an unrelated offence.
Basic’s lawyer, Ivan Sayad, appeared in court today on her behalf.
He asked for a later court date so he had time to review police footage of Basic in the watch house taken by body worn cameras.
Magistrate Deborah Vasta told the court that Basic had tried to enter a plea in writing.
“I’m guessing she wasn’t acting on legal advice when she did that,” she said.
“But just so she knows, these are not charges that we can really deal with by way of (written plea).”
Basic will return to court on March 26.
The reality star, who was dubbed this year’s villain on the show, has remained in the headlines since her appearance on Channel 9.
Yesterday she shared a steamy photo of herself in bed.
The photo, shared on Instagram, showed Basic wearing skin-tight jeans and pulling suggestively at her top, with the caption: “Show ur dad this. guarantee u he wanna see it (sic).”
