Conrad Sewell makes 9-year-old Bella’s dreams come true

An emotional young girl was treated to a duet with her idol Conrad Sewell as she was invited to sing a song she used to deal with a chronic pain condition live on radio.

NINE-YEAR-OLD Bella from Thornlands had her dreams come true when the team at hit105 invited her to sing with her idol Conrad Sewell this week.

Bella, who spent the past year dealing with a chronic pain condition, often used Sewell’s song Healing Hands to make herself feel better.

The aspiring songstress would sing the hit tune to try and relieve pain and would perform it for her sick Grandmother as well.

Bella’s grandmother said the song had helped their family in many ways.

“I have stage four cancer,” she said.

“And Bella has had a bit of a tough year, and Bella’s way of expressing herself is through song.

“Bella loves Conrad’s music and so does Nan, and Bella decided she’d like to tell Nan how she felt about her through song and she chose to sing Healing Hands to me.”

Radio station hit105 heard of the nine year old’s story after they hosted their “house party” at Bella’s house which she couldn’t attend.

Hosts of the morning show Stav, Abby and Matt spoke to Bella’s mum following the party and set the plan into action.

The self-proclaimed “superfan” was treated to a duet experience live on air with Sewell, singing the song that meant so much to her.

If this wasn’t exciting enough, Bella was then invited to sing again with Sewell in the Queen Street Mall that afternoon.
