A dental hygienist turned coffee roaster and business owner has taken over South East Queensland with his Columbian imported beans and has recently opened his sixth store on the Bayside.

Founder and owner of Coffee Cups Max Li has framed his business model around stiving to create the best quality coffee for the most reasonable price.

“We take pride in the coffee we roast in Brisbane and have control over the flavours, strength and grind,” Mr Li said.

“Our smallest coffee is only $4, which is aimed at making it affordable for coffee lovers who like to enjoy several cups a day and can’t hack the rising coffee prices.

“Customers can choose the desired strength of their beans,” he said.

Mr Li was set on opening his coffee shop in Cleveland as he was working alongside a friend in the region and knows it well.

“There are lots of retirees who enjoy a good cup of coffee around here, we enjoy talking to everyone who comes as this area is so friendly,” Mr Li said.

“We want people to be able to afford our quality product and believe it is the best price in town.

“Since our opening earlier this month there has been a rush which has been exhausting but great,” he said.

Mr Li said the opening of the shop was challenging with the lack of builders and shopfitters in the Bayside.

“With the help of the centre we were able to open on time and everything is running smoothly and we can’t wait to meet more customers,” Mr Li said.

Coffee Cups is open seven days from 7.30am - 5pm at 91 Middle St, Cleveland.
