Wonderland Festival returns to the Brisbane Powerhouse for nine nights of debauchery and decadence and the program promises a smorgasbord of talent.
Capalaba mentalist and magician Matt Tarrant is preparing his charm offensive for his upcoming performance.
Teaming his psychological skills with “insane magic abilities” Tarrant creates a fun and jaw-dropping stage show with lots of audience participation that has won over Adelaide Fringe festival crowds. This year his show Matt Tarrant: MORE Unsolved won the “Pick of the Fringe” award for best overall act.
The one-time banker now travels around the country performing his magic act and says he is hoping to leave you feeling spellbound in the wake of his show.
“I want to leave them feeling a childlike wonder,” he says.
Expect to be fooled, charmed and amazed.
“United by a palpable sense of fearlessness and heart with guaranteed glamour and giggles, Wonderland Festival transforms Brisbane Powerhouse into the city’s downtown hub of nightly delights,” Brisbane Powerhouse artistic director Kris Stewart said.
“Wonderland Festival represents everything Brisbane does so well – originality, creativity and hilarity.
“It’s Brisbane Powerhouse’s fringe offering, a downtown escape into something a little different and risky. Our doors are open to everyone; run riot with us for our annual end-of-year celebration.”
