Andrew Sharrock charged with stalking, common assault, obstruct police officer

A Bayside musician has been charged after a wild night out on an island that ended in his arrest.

A Bayside musician has fronted court after a wild night drinking at a local pub led to him being evicted from the venue after refusing to leave.

He also assaulted a patron and obstructed a police officer, a court has heard.

Musician and former building certifier Andrew Sharrock, 44, appeared at the Cleveland Magistrates Court for mention on May 2, 2024.

Sharrock was charged with committing a public nuisance within a licensed premises or in the vicinity of licensed premises, common assault in a public place while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, failure to leave a licensed premises and obstructing a police officer.

He was also charged with serious assault of a person aged over 60, unlawful stalking, breach of bail, possessing dangerous drugs, producing dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of weapons.

The Capalaba resident was arrested on November 25 last year after he allegedly committed a public nuisance at a Point Lookout venue on Stradbroke Island.

He was further charged with unlawful stalking on July 26.

Sharrock, who represented himself, asked the court to adjourn his matter.

He has not yet entered any pleas.

His next mention was listed for May 30.
