THIS rainforest tree-house style residence at The Gap has been designed to capture views at almost every angle.
Owner Vida Famouri, who has lived in the home for eight years, said the block caught her eye because of the sweeping views.
“It’s such a bright and open house, you get that feeling you’re almost in a rainforest because everything is nice and green, it’s so peaceful,” Mrs Famouri said.
“I designed the house to take all the beautiful views in, so almost every room has a view.”
The home has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two rumpus rooms, bar, laundry and open plan kitchen, living and dining.
The kitchen flows out to a balcony and features stone benchtops with waterfalls on the island, stone splashback and a 90cm oven.
“My favourite areas were the upstairs living, kitchen and balcony as they all have beautiful views,” Mrs Famouri said.
“I’m always in the kitchen, so I designed the kitchen to face the view so I could always see it.”
Three bedrooms with built-in wardrobes are located upstairs and all share a rumpus and family bathroom.
The main is also upstairs and features a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite with double basin.
Downstairs has one bedroom with a built-in wardrobe, bathroom, bar, rumpus and patio.
“My parents lived with me for sometimes downstairs, and I have lots of memories of my children and grandchildren staying,” Mrs Famouri said.
“It’s a great house for a family, particularly one with teenagers as it has plenty of room and that sort of granny flat downstairs.”
The 552sq m property is close to local shops, schools, parks and the D’Aguilar National Park.
“We moved from South Australia around ten years ago and The Gap is my favourite, it’s a wonderful community,” Mrs Famouri said.
“It’s a nice family area tucked away in the mountains from the big city, but not too far either as it was only a short drive.
“I’m not happy about leaving, but it’s time to downsize.”
