WITH a tennis court, saltwater pool, hydro spa, fish pond and private jetty on the lake, this resort-style property is the perfect setting for families and entertaining.
Owners Chris and Marelle Bonner had lived in the home for 16 years, and have six children and 11 grandchildren between them.
“It’s got a unique resort flavour for a family and it doesn’t matter what age the kids are - grandchildren or university students - there was an activity for everyone,” Mr Bonner said.
“The tennis court in particular was great as it’s got artificial grass, and often we’d play cricket or tennis on there, and it was safe and secure for the grandchildren to play in.”
Mr Bonner said the 1446sq m property was a crowd favourite for events and festivities, having hosted Christmases, christenings, birthday parties and even a wedding.
“We had almost up to 120 people here for the wedding and it still wasn’t crowded,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s a dozen people or hundreds of people, it doesn’t make a different, there’s space for everyone.”
There are four bedrooms upstairs all with built-in wardrobes and airconditioning, with the main featuring an ensuite.
Downstairs includes a formal lounge, dining area with fireplace, living room with wet bar, fifth bedroom, study, bathroom and kitchen.
The kitchen overlooks the outdoor area, tennis court and lake, and features stone benchtops, 90cm oven and a double draw dishwasher.
Mr Bonner said some of his favourite memories had been boating in the lake and sitting on the jetty watching the wildlife.
“When we bought the house there were still empty blocks in the cul de sac, and that’s where the birds used to go, but since they’ve been built on the birds basically came and lived with us,” he said.
“We loved watching the birds breed and frolic, and we got to know them all really well so some even have names.”
Mr Bonner said the couple were moving in order to downsize and spend more time on their New South Wales’ farm.
“We are very sad to leave but we have to for practicality,” he said.
“It’s a pretty special place.”
