AFTER 25 years of fond memories, the original owners of this Macgregor home have decided it’s time to downsize.

Helen and Steve Conias brought up their three children in the residence but when they moved out it wasn’t an empty nest for long as their eight grandchildren often visited.

“We have so many beautiful memories of spending days here with our family and grandchildren,” Mrs Conias said.

“We would have birthdays, anniversaries, engagements and parties here.

“Our favourite days was when everyone was here and we would swim, laugh and play together.”

The couple bought the 1104sq m property new from a builder and loved the design and spaciousness.

The split-level home has four bedrooms plus a study, three bathrooms, formal dining, formal living, sitting room, entertainment room with bar, and an open plan kitchen and dining.

“My favourite rooms were the main bedroom, kitchen and downstairs television room as there was plenty of space for everyone,” Mrs Conias said.

The kitchen includes stone benchtops with waterfalls on the island, built-in oven and microwave and glass feature cabinets.

“I absolutely love cooking for the children and they would come and help me make things,” Mrs Conias said.

“They would call me ‘Mrs Yia Yia the master chef” – they loved my pies and always said they would pay me more than the bakery.

“There are so many good memories, we are just a happy family.”

The backyard includes an in-ground pool, covered patio and gazebo.

Mrs Conias said she loved the community of Macgregor and would miss the neighbourhood.

“They are all such lovely kind people, we would always watch out for each other, I’m going to miss them,” she said.

“I hope and would like to see a family buy the house and continue the love and enjoyment we got from it.”

The property is close to local parks, public transport, Griffith University Nathan Campus, Sunnybank Plaza and the Pacific Motorway.

“A lot of my friends have come over and said how beautiful it is and why would we sell it,” Mrs Conias said.

“It’s a warm and pleasant house and we will be sad to leave.”
