A MORAYFIELD house will be the only Queensland property to be featured on Foxtel’s new lifestyle show Dream Home Ideas.
Executive producer and host Gary Takle said 30 Pernod Place was chosen because it showcased the Queensland lifestyle.
“This tropical design wouldn’t work in say Melbourne where French provincial is the big thing right now,” he said.
Assorted Spaces interior designer Taryn Whitaker took four months to give the residence a facelift.
“The brief was for a ‘contemporary and tropical’ design,” she said.
“To me this is like a resort home, so we used calming colours such as oranges, blues and greens.
“We gave each space a meaning and defined those spaces with lighting and furniture.”
Many decor items and paintings were individually designed for the clients and their colour scheme.
Taryn, a Brisbane designer, will also be featured in the episode, offering tips and tricks for creating a dream home.
The program will air on Foxtel’s LifeStyle Channel 128 later this month.
The the episode featuring the Morayfield property and its tropical design is set to air in May.
