An ‘a-doughrable’ Brisbane couple has taken their love for the perfect slice to new ‘cheesy’ level by revealing the sex of their unborn child with piping hot pizzas.
Cee-Jay White and Maddi Luscombe are parents, partners and pizza lovers.
The franchisees of Domino’s New Farm hosted a quirky pizza themed gender reveal on November 7.
The expecting parents to be asked guests to pick slices of pepperoni or cheese pizza in a “Sausage, or no Sausage?” reveal.
The final reveal?, No sausage here.
Mr White said he was delighted to welcome his third little girl into the world.
His older sister organised the surprise gender reveal party for the couple as reflection of their commitment to the ‘pizza life’.
“I first started my ‘career in pizza’ in 2009, when I joined Domino’s Bundaberg as a Delivery Expert helping to deliver safe, hot meals to locals while studying,” he said.
“From there, I slowly moved up the ranks from driver, to store manager and then regional leader.
“It’s also where I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life, Maddi, whose sister also worked for Domino’s at the time.”
In 2019, Mr White and Ms Luscombe fell in love with the idea of earning their own ‘crust’ as business owners.
When the opportunity to take the next step in their pizza journey arose, the couple decided to take the leap, becoming the franchisees of Domino’s New Farm.
“Ever since then, we have been committed to not only to each other … but also all things pizza,” he said.
“It’s such a huge part of our lives, so holding a pizza-themed gender reveal party just made sense
“As the ‘Mr and Ms Pizza’ in our local community helping to deliver slices of joy and comfort to locals, it’s something we’re very proud of.”
Committed to supporting the local community, Mr White has donated more than 2000 safe, hot meals to individuals, businesses and charities doing it tough through Domino’s ‘Feed the Knead’ program.
The family has also hosted several ‘Doughraisers’ to raise funds for causes like Borderline Youth Camp – an initiative dedicated to supporting young Queenslanders and their mental health.
“If you, or someone you know, is in ‘knead’ of support or any kind of relief, I encourage you to please reach out to Domino’s New Farm or Sandgate,” Mr White said.
“We would like to know how we can help.”
As for the future, the pair will be keeping a close eye on their ‘bun in the oven’.
