Anita Woodward, BSHS Director of QGSSSA & Girls’ Activities, said there was a “ renewed vibe in our team’’ following the addition of Lush.
“As with all coaches, he volunteers his service. We rely on our volunteers and we greatly appreciate this service.
“David is an Australian team swim coach with a number of current Olympians in his squad.
“He has brought an emphasis on team, not individuals, to girls swimming, reinforcing that every member has the capacity to lift that little bit more.
“Our team philosophy is that if all swimmers at the QGSSSA Swimming Championships on March 6 each take milliseconds off their times, it will create an overall improved team performance and move us up from our current fifth place ranking.
“There is a great team atmosphere at hard training sessions which challenge our girls.’’
