Qld COVID-19 hot spots – Where are they?

Coronavirus success means end may be in sight

The COVID-19 crisis has disrupted many aspects of everyday life on the north side, from people having to work from home to and children being kept away from school, to shopping becoming an occasional, and sometimes desperate quest for some essentials.

With eateries restricted to takeaways, and pubs and clubs forced to close, hundreds, if not thousands of people have been left without work for weeks

Even venturing outside has become a risky with school principals warning children not to gather in parks and police moving on hundreds of people who had been congregating on north Brisbane beaches.

They also had to move on a few people at the skate park and BMX track at Fitzgibbon – both of which are on the current list of no go areas.

However this week Sandgate Police officer in charge Senior Sergeant Jon Kent said more than 90 per cent of people at the Sandgate/Brighton foreshore were complying with social distancing directives.
