Nathan McSweeney scored 200, Micheal Dawson his maiden first grade century while Noah McFadyen made his debut for Norths during a milestone day of Bulls Masters premier grade cricket.
While McSweeney, a St Joseph’s Nudgee College old boy, deserved all the plaudits he received for his 204 not out (184 balls) out of 2-415 against Redlands, Dawson’s maiden first grade century and McFadyen’s debut capped a milestone moment for the club in season 2019-20.

Coach Ken Healy said McSweeney’s innings was “one of the most damaging knocks I have seen’’ as he raced to his second hundred from just 33 balls.
But there was equal joy for Dawson whose 113 was warmly received by his teammates.
“For him to get that score, it gets the monkey off his back,’’ Healy said.
“He was outstanding and hopefully it breaks the door open for him to put two, or three or four (centuries) together.
“He has scored consistent runs. He is a quality player who works really hard and is a really good person.’’
Saturday will see all-rounder McFadyen bowl for the first time in A grade.
Like McSweeney, McFadyen is a Nudgee College product who will finish his year 12 commitments in two weeks.
A swing bowler, McFadyen has received his chance because of an injury to Cameron Gannon.
“It was a good chance to bring a talented youngster in and give him an experience that he hopefully grabs,’’ Healy said.
McFadyen, a Wilston Norths junior cricket club junior and an excellent batsman, has another string to his bow - Australian football.
The brothers of Brisbane Lions’ listed player Connor, McFadyen was named in the NAB AFL under 16 All-Australian team after strong performances for Queensland at the national championships.
Healy also praised the last session innings of Kendal Fleming (46 not out) in unison with McSweeney.
“When you have two guys hitting the ball as hard and as far, it is very difficult to contain it,’’ Healy said.
